Start with one room. Stop at better.
Tidy 20 helps you choose a short reset, learn how long recurring clutter really takes, and define a realistic stopping point. It is built around ordinary homes—not perfect ones.

1. Create your first room
After creating an account, the walkthrough starts with an empty home. Name one real room and add one task you actually repeat. Free accounts can use one room, manual tasks, guided timers, history, and written friction check-ins without uploading photos or using AI.
You can replay the walkthrough at any time from the top-right account menu on the web or Account → Replay walkthrough in the native app.
2. Choose a reset that fits today
Open Today, choose the room, and adjust the available time. Tidy 20 builds a short list from the tasks and priorities in that room. The point is not to finish the room; it is to spend the available time on the few things that make it feel meaningfully easier.
During a guided reset, the current task fills horizontally as its time passes. If you finish early, select the task circle to advance. When the timer ends, stopping is allowed.
3. Complete the friction check-in
After the reset, record what slowed you down: a missing container, supplies in another room, too many decisions, an interruption, or work that turned into a project. Free members can write their own note. Household members and active beta testers can ask the private AI coach to turn that barrier into a smaller experiment for next time.
4. Add a baseline when photos are useful
Photo calibration is optional and available to Household members and full-scope beta testers. Add one to four repeatable room angles: begin with the widest useful view, then add only the corners that the first image misses. You can take new photos or choose existing ones, retake or remove an angle before analysis, and submit all selected angles together. Review every proposed finding and correct or remove anything inaccurate. Tidy 20 separates quick reset work from cleaning, repairs, hazards, and organizing projects that should not be silently added to the timer.
A generated “good enough” image is a visual stopping point—not a promise, measurement, or instruction to copy every detail. Photograph only what you are comfortable storing privately. Avoid people, mail, screens, medications, keys, and financial documents.
5. Let timing become more realistic
Completing guided resets builds room-specific history: estimated time, actual time, early completion, recurring barriers, and what gets done most often. Use the History view to adjust tasks that are consistently too large, too vague, or too frequent.
Tidy together with a group sprint
Open Group sprint to host with any free Tidy 20 account or join with a link or code and a display name. A sprint has one shared 5–60 minute countdown, up to eight room labels, and up to twelve participants. Each person chooses where to help and marks a room done when it is good enough. The host starts, pauses, resumes, or ends the timer for everyone.
No shared subscription is needed. Sprint rooms are temporary labels: joining does not add anyone to a household or share saved room photos, tasks, AI analysis, or subscription benefits. Everyone who joins can see the display names, room labels, and progress, so share the code only with people you want to invite. Keep the same browser or app to return to your place. Sprint access expires after 24 hours.
Free, Household, and beta access
Free: one saved room, manual tasks and priorities, guided 5–45 minute resets, reset history, written friction notes, and group sprints. No card, photos, or AI usage is required.
Household: multiple rooms, shared-home features, private photo analysis, realistic goal images, and AI friction coaching within the published monthly allowances. Web subscriptions are managed through Account → Subscription & billing. Native subscriptions are managed through Apple or Google Play.
Beta: an invitation code grants time-limited Household-scope features without charge. Beta access expires automatically and does not create a subscription. Testers can submit private feedback from the top bar or Account screen.
Account, export, and deletion
Use Account settings to change profile details, manage billing, export or import a Tidy 20 home file, replay onboarding, or delete the account. Account deletion is permanent and store subscriptions must also be canceled in the relevant store. See account deletion instructions.
Safety and support
Handle spills, spoiled food, pet waste, hygiene concerns, allergens, sharp objects, and child or trip hazards immediately rather than waiting for a timer. Tidy 20 is not medical, safety, structural, pest-control, or professional-organizing advice.
If something is confusing or fails, email friends@tidy20.com with the screen, device, approximate time, what you expected, and what happened. Do not send passwords, payment-card information, or private photos unless support specifically asks and you choose to share them.
