How this supplement applies
Read the core Privacy Policy. You can read existing coaching records without enabling new contributions. Enabling observation sharing or contextual AI is a separate choice in Observe & learn; each opt-in shows this supplement and records its version. It does not replace your core Terms acceptance.
Observations, studies, and private discussion
When you opt in to Observe & learn, we store your task-linked ratings, actual post-reset baseline, observation times and time zones, context, corrections, study reports, hypotheses, experiment plans, effort reports, and decisions. Authorized household members can see shared observations and study records. Hypothesis drafts and contextual AI discussions are private to their author until the author explicitly shares selected text. Guest sprint participation is not used to create an observation profile.
Contextual AI requires a separate opt-in. A request may include your question, recent private discussion, selected evidence from contributors who have allowed AI use, a bounded numeric summary of the current shared task’s timer history, and authorized numeric effort reports. It excludes room photos and older shared friction-chat text from this contextual evidence packet. AI suggestions do not automatically change a study, room instruction, or notification schedule. You review and approve those actions separately.
The app remembers the AI provider disclosure for your signed-in account on that device or browser, so it does not ask again for every photo or message. You can reset that permission in Settings. You can separately stop observation participation or contextual AI sharing; turning off participation does not delete all existing study records. Revoking AI sharing may remove generated replies that depended on that permission. Personal exports, corrections, and deletion controls are available in Observe & learn. Leaving a household removes your private coaching material there; previously shared contributions may remain for the household unless deleted.
Optional study notifications
Study check-ins require your opt-in, a selected device, and approval of a finite schedule. We store a device push token, your time zone, quiet hours and pause preferences, schedule approvals, and delivery status. Expo’s push service and Apple or Google deliver these notifications. Notification text is generic; opening it requires an authenticated account with current access before study details are shown. You can pause or disable study check-ins without changing your ordinary weekly reminders.
Retention, backup, and deletion
Observation and study records currently have no automatic age-based expiry; you can export or delete them using the available controls. Deleted coaching content is removed from the live service, while access-restricted database backups can retain older copies until those backups expire. Before a backup is made available as a restored service, synchronized deletion records must be replayed. A backup-worker outage can delay deletion-marker synchronization. Minimal opaque deletion records are retained to prevent removed content from being restored.
